What does 5/4 mean?
The 5/4 measurement indicates that the board is 5/4 of an inch thick (1-1/4”). This is a nominal size (in measurement only). The actual size is only 1” thick due to planing and dressing.
What is the recommended fastener?
Cedar deck boards can be installed with a hidden fastener system, like CAMO, or face fastened. For face screw installation, use hot dipped galvanized or stainless-steel screws.
