Job description:
The ideal candidate would have previous woodworking experience in a woodshop and excellent computer skills. Most importantly, we are looking for the right person who is excited to learn and has the ability to solve problems to a high degree with attention to detail. Our CNC woodshop mainly focuses on custom work for our clients.
Primary Job Tasks:
- Operate CNC wood routers
- Follow safety protocols and procedures when operating the machinery
- Monitor the production process and make adjustments as needed
- Ensure that the finished products meet quality standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot the CNC wood routers as needed
- Keep shop clean
- Keep all filters and dust collection maintained
- Keep track of production data and complete relevant documentation
- Perform regular maintenance on the CNC wood routers, including cleaning and lubrication
- Collaborate with team members, to optimize production processes
- Post processing: Woodshop hand tools, trim routing, round-over edges, sanding, assembling parts, packaging orders, etc.
- Learning the essential parts of our ERP system to create a good work-flow through multiple departments
Experience:
- Woodworking background preferred
- Any drawing/design software would be considered an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Forklift experience (will train onsite as well)
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented CNC wood router operator to join our team. The working hours are M-F 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and the salary will be commensurate with experience. You must have reliable transportation.
