    Why Historical Reproduction Matters

Accurate reproduction work requires a technical understanding of both historical design and modern manufacturing. Whether replicating a Victorian staircase, replacing Gothic trim in a church, or repairing mouldings in an 1800s storefront, using CNC technology allows us to match original profiles with precision and repeatability.

By referencing existing samples or architectural drawings, we recreate components such as mouldings, stair parts, siding, and flooring to exact specifications. These period-correct details ensure proper fit, maintain design consistency, and meet modern performance standards, allowing heritage restorations to blend authenticity with long-term durability.

The Challenges of Finding Authentic Materials

Sourcing historically accurate materials isn’t easy.

Original sizes and profiles are out of production: The trim in your home may not exist in modern lumber yards.

Big box stores don’t carry authentic profiles: Off-the-shelf options rarely match heritage dimensions or details.

Style mismatches ruin authenticity: Mixing modern trim with historic details can feel out of place.

Matching wood species is difficult: Getting the right grain, texture, and finish requires expertise.

Custom work can be expensive: Many suppliers don’t have the flexibility or equipment to cost-effectively reproduce heritage woodwork.

We solve these challenges with our in-house manufacturing, advanced technology and robust inventory.

Can you replicate without a physical sample?

It's easier to manufacture a historical reproduction with a sample, but it's not necessary. We have talented designers that can create a model without a physical sample.
