Douglas Fir Mantel

Douglas fir is a particularly attractive wood with its long straight grain. All mantels will be cut from free-of-heart-center timbers, which helps to improve their integrity over time. As the wood is not kiln dried, the mantel may check or crack over time, enhancing its rustic appeal. Douglas Fir is also very versatile, its light hue allows the user to stain their mantle to any colour they wish or leave it in its natural wood tone.
