Standard Hollow Wood Beam Specifications
Our standard beam program makes it easy to quote the most popular species and sizes quickly. Custom dimensions and additional species are available on request.
Longer lengths and wider face widths are available for most species using laminations. Please note beams over 16′ in length require a scarf joint.
Reclaimed and natural white oak options contain knot holes up to 25mm and are backed with black fabric during construction.

Faux Beam and Mantel Installation
Each hollow wood beam and mantel is built for efficient installation and are shipped assembled.
Mantels include a solid wood mounting bracket for secure wall attachment.
To ensure proper fit, please provide the required inside dimensions when ordering beams or posts.
Two Sided Beam
Used where only two faces are visible, a 2-sided faux beam creates a clean look along walls or ceilings while allowing access for wiring or mechanical systems.
Three Sided Beam
Commonly installed as a ceiling ridge beam, a 3-sided hollow wood beam provides the look of solid timber and space to conceal electrical or mechanical components.
Four Sided Post
A 4-sided hollow wood post is fully enclosed, ideal for wrapping structural columns or creating decorative posts with the appearance of solid wood.
Five Sided Mantel
A 5-sided hollow wood mantel encloses all visible faces and mounts over a support cleat for a seamless, finished look around fireplaces or feature walls.

We manufacture each hollow wood beam and mantel to order. In addition to customizing the species and size, you can also choose the wood texture.
Rough
Rustic texture with minimal processing for a natural, weathered look.
Brushed
Rough surface aggressively brushed to highlight grain and add texture.
Resawn
Freshly sawn surface that exposes clean wood grain while keeping a rustic character.
Dressed & Sanded
Smooth, ready-to-finish surface. Not available for reclaimed material.
