Threshing Flooring

Threshing is salvaged barn flooring that features distinct marks from farm equipment, machinery, and animals. It is reclaimed from Ontario buildings 50 - 150 years old.

It is most often used for rustic style furniture like dining tables, benches, and shelves or reinstalled as flooring.

Named after its original purpose, threshing flooring was traditionally used in barns where grain was separated from the stalk, a process known as threshing.

Thickness: 2" Nominal

Width: 6" and Wider

Length: 6' and Longer

Milling: Custom Milling Available

Species: Usually softwood (pine, hemlock)

Appearance: Worn surface including tight knots, varying levels of checking and cracking. Some nails and other metal an be expected as can staining around nail holes. 

Threshing is sold by the Board Foot and is available at two price points: under 12" wide and 12"+ wide.

I only need a few pieces of threshing, can I choose my own?

Yes! We have a selection of threshing available for purchase at our stores. You're welcome to come in and select your piece (or pieces).
